It was a magical time post-WWI, particularly in the Parisian suburb of Montmartre. The streets and cafés were filled with painters, sculptors, writers, musicians, culinarians and more as art of all types was being created at a dizzying pace.
Enter the teenager Esmé and her Cat, Bookmark.
Esmé grew up outside of Paris but lost her parents during World War I and the Spanish Flu Epidemic. So, she's off to live with her Uncle Gustav, the proprietor of The Bandit Café, to continue her life.
