All of the music in Esmé was written by the prolific and often under-appreciated French composer, Erik Satie. While one of his compositions is played at countless weddings every year, many of his musical pieces aren't known today. For Esmé, Director and lyricist David James Robinson has written lyrics for a number of Satie's works, creating new songs for discovery by today's audiences.
